End-to-end supply chain management company and part of the $8.5 billion TVS Group, TVS Supply Chain Solutions (TVS SCS) is all geared up and facilitating the movement of essential goods and services amid the nationwide lockdown.

Recently, the company deployed over 1,000 ‘Corona Warriors’ — employees and drivers involved in operations — at its 65 operating locations across the country to support logistics activities. The execution team is equipped with a personal protective equipment (PPE) kit ‘Corona Kavach’ in addition to being fully trained to maintain the norms of social distancing.

TVS SCS is already working with the Karnataka government in managing healthcare equipment services and spares such as ICU equipment and ventilators at all primary and community health centers, taluk, district and government hospitals. The company is also offering mission-critical services and closely engaging with state governments and private healthcare organisations.

Chief Executive Officer at TVS SCS R Shankar said, “During this critical lockdown period, we are proactively reaching out to organisations who are dealing with food, drug and other essential commodities to be able to meet their immediate logistics demands, including transportation. We are leveraging our technology-enabled control towers’ assistance to monitor and manage vehicles for inter and intra-state movements with the least hurdles.”

Being a specialised provider in first-mile and last-mile connectivity, TVS SCS is working with a few ventilator manufacturers to be able to manage their inbound and outbound supply chain. Through its global sourcing capabilities, the company is also procuring PPE kits from Asian markets for its customers.

“We have already started importing these kits for Indian customers,” Shankar informed.
