The company has also included OTP based delivery for a seamless and safe delivery process.

“In this critical global health crisis, we as an organisation that is always FIRST IN LAST OUT during any disaster, our domestic express services and worldwide network have played a critical role to ensure continuity of mission-critical pharmaceuticals and medical equipment supply chain. We have partnered closely with the Government of India, as well as state governments, local municipalities, hospitals and research institutions to help our nation in this war against the COVID-19 pandemic,” Blue Dart Express Chief Marketing Officer & Head – Business Development Ketan Kulkarni said.

“During the initial nation-wide lockdown, we strengthened the nation’s medical infrastructure. While in the current lockdown scenario, as the nation’s trade facilitator, we are working across more industries and sectors such as Banking, Insurance, Financial services, Consumer Electronics, FMCG, e-commerce, amongst others to enable shipments for businesses and individuals, and our Contact Less Delivery service is keeping the health and safety of all paramount,” Kulkarni added.

To ensure safety of frontline staff, Blue Dart has installed temperature monitoring equipment across its operational centers, in addition to encouraging them to wear safety gear and masks. The company is extensively fumigating its facilities in metro cities, as well as in tier II and tier III cities.

Blue Dart has also encouraged its employees to download the ‘Arogya Setu’ app to keep oneself updated and reassured. Regular internal communication on hygiene and provision of hand washing equipment has also been facilitated.
