Specialist Ro/Ro deep sea carrier, Höegh Autoliners has promoted Oskar Orstadius to Chief of Sales. He replaces Thomas Ramdahl, who the company said recently resigned to take up a ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ opportunity with a startup.

Orstadius joined Norway-headquartered Höegh Autoliners in 2012 as Head of Global Port and Cargo Operations. In 2014, he was transferred to the commercial department as Head of Breakbulk, where he went on to expand the company’s breakbulk portfolio. In 2018, Orstadius moved to Japan as Head of Asia to lead the teams in Southeast and East Asian region. Prior to working with Höegh Autoliners, Orstadius served in the capacity of senior managerial roles at EUKOR Car Carriers Inc and as Chief Officer for Atlantic Container line.

Orstadius is educated as a Master Mariner at the Merchant Marine Academy in Kalmar, Sweden. Earlier in his career, Orstadius served as an officer on board pure car and truck carrier (PCTC) and Deepsea RoRo vessels. After his active career at sea, Orstadius continued working within the PCTC industry in various operational roles including five years in Germany.
