Shipping and logistics company CMA CGM Group, today announced the appointed of Atit Mahajan as its Managing Director for India operations.
“Mahajan has an extensive industry experience and strong leadership abilities in Indian shipping and logistics sectors. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant with a qualitative experience of 18 years in Strategy, Finance and Cost Management function,” the company said in a statement.
Prior to taking on the position of Managing Director – CMA CGM India from August 01, 2020, Mahajan served as the Chief Financial Officer at CEVA Logistics India and Chief Operating Officer at LCL Logistix, both subsidiaries of the CMA CGM Group. He has also been part of the CMA CGM Group and held the position of the Chief Financial Officer at CMA CGM India from 2010 to 2015.
CMA CGM Group started operations in India in 1989, and today has a network of 27 offices across the country employing around 630 people. CMA CGM India is connected globally via 14 mainline services and 27 weekly calls. The Group has 302 depots and warehouses to support its customers with a seamless storage facility.
