Swissport and Qatar Airways Cargo have renewed their agreement covering airport ground services and cargo handling at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) in Netherlands.

The contract which includes ramp handling and air cargo warehousing, as well as the handling of general cargo, pharmaceuticals, dangerous goods and temperature-sensitive products, provides the ground handler with a substantial annual tonnage baseload through Schiphol.

In addition, Swissport has also secured new five-year Qatar Cargo contracts for cargo handling at the UK regional airports of Manchester (MAN) and Birmingham (BHX), commencing next month.

Via its Manchester and Birmingham warehouses, the ground handler can link Qatar Airways Cargo to regional airports across the UK utilising its road feeder services to Aberdeen, Belfast, Bristol, East Midlands, Glasgow and Newcastle, which are not served directly.

Qatar Airways Cargo is moving significant business via’s cargo hubs in Amsterdam, Basel, Liège and London Stansted where Swissport provides both their ramp services and cargo handling related activities.
