Russia’s first international scheduled cargo airline, AirBridgeCargo (ABC) made its maiden landing at GVK-led Mumbai International Airport on July 24.
The AirBridgeCargo freighter airlifted approximately 80 tonnes of consolidated pharmaceutical cargo, a large portion of which was destined for Chicago and the remaining for customers in Europe.
To maintain product effectiveness, the entire shipment was maintained at +15° – +25°C (+60 to +75°F).
The product was moved within the ABC network through its Moscow-based air cargo hub at Sheremetyevo International Airport where the aircraft made a stopover of two hours, before reaching its final destination, O’Hare International Airport in Chicago.
AirBridgeCargo (ABC) is part of the Russia-based Volga-Dnepr Group which also includes Volga-Dnepr Airlines, the world’s largest transporter of unique, oversize and heavyweight air cargo, and express carrier ATRAN.
As the healthcare industry meets the rising demand for precautions against the global pandemic, AirBridgeCargo continues to ensure safe air freight transportation in a world where the global community faces new norms.
