Ford has chosen automotive logistics leader GEFCO to distribute new vehicles to the carmaker’s dealers in France, which equals to 40,000 units annually.

A preferred partner of the automotive industry for 70 years, GEFCO has been managing incoming flows for Ford for numerous years across Europe, providing logistics and distribution services in Spain, Romania, Germany, Austria, and Czech Republic.

This latest partnership further reinstates the company’s trust in GEFCO’s automotive logistics expertise.

Yvon Pasquiou, Sales and Marketing Director at GEFCO France commented, “We’re delighted and proud that Ford has renewed its trust in GEFCO through this contract for the French market. Our valued-added solutions and unique automotive logistics expertise enables our customers to optimize their supply chains and focus on their core business.”

Since the reopening of dealerships in May, GEFCO France have been transporting Ford vehicles, in line with the manufacturer’s new distribution plan for France involving direct deliveries.

GEFCO transports new vehicles daily to dealers from platforms in Creutzwald (East of France) and Douai (North of France), as well as the ports of Sète (South of France) and Zeebrugge (Belgium) for cars arriving by sea.

GEFCO’s compound in Etupes (East of France) manages transport loads and plans delivery rounds depending on the volume of vehicles involved and their delivery destination.

At a time when the health of employees, customers and partners is more important than ever, GEFCO have introduced a full range of specific measures to ensure that its distribution services for Ford are launched as safely as possible.
