DP World has won the prestigious Overall Excellence in Supply Chain & Logistics, Best Safety Practices, and Training & Skill Development titles at the highly prestigious CII Supply Chain and Logistics Excellence (SCALE) Awards.
The titles have been presented to DP World in recognition of the company’s holistic approach to the COVID-19 pandemic, its robust business continuity plan with special focus on safety and wellbeing of its people and communities, company’s rebound capability and its commitment to maintain the flow of goods for its customers across geographies.
The Overall Excellence Award recognises DP World’s ability to offer efficient and bespoke integrated solutions, and to cater to end-to-end supply chain needs of customers across all kinds of storages and modes of transportation and all types of bulk, domestic, EXIM, and temperature-controlled cargoes.
DP World was awarded the Best Safety Practices Award for its zero-harm approach and exceptional safety culture. The company is investing in new smart technologies and innovations such as Video Analytics, which uses Artificial intelligence and Machine Learning to reduce man-machine interface and make the company’s operations safe and sustainable.
DP World has also won the Training & Skill Development Award, for its noteworthy efforts to ensure that its employees continue to learn and thrive in these unprecedented times. The company undertook several virtual initiatives such as Mobile Learning, and re-designed all its existing training courses to suit the training needs of over 3500 employees across India. It also launched several employee engagement activities through virtual platforms, so that its employees always feel connected, supported, and aligned with the business and community goals of the company.
