Polar Air Cargo has become the latest full member of Brussels-based pharma trade body Pharma.Aero. It joins airlines such as Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Etihad Cargo and Amerijet.
“We’re so pleased that Polar Air Cargo has joined pharma.aero,” says Lars Winkelbauer, EVP and COO, Polar Air Cargo. “Polar is aligned with the organisation’s mission to achieve excellence in reliable end-to-end air transportation for pharma shippers, and as we grow our own footprint in pharma air transport, we look forward to collaborating with Pharma.Aero and its members.”
An alliance between Miami International Airport (MIA) and Brussels Airport (BRU) in 2016 led to the establishment of Pharma.Aero as an international pharmaceutical air-hub alliance that allows airports and airport communities certified under IATA’s Center of Excellence for Independent Validators (CEIV) program for pharmaceuticals to more effectively share strategy and expertise in the movement and handling of pharma products.
